On the "New Heights" podcast, Travis Kelce supported his brother Jason Kelce after a heated exchange with a college student went viral. Travis called the student a “clown” who made offensive comments, and told Jason “you reacted in a way that was defending your family and you might have used some words that you regret using.”

Reflecting on his reaction, Jason expressed regret, saying, “The thing I regret the most is saying that word,” referencing the fact that he repeated a slur the student had said to him. Travis praised Jason for learning from the situation and issuing an apology, saying, “You don’t choose hate. That’s not who you are.”

Despite his frustrations, Jason admitted he should have just “kept walking” to avoid escalation. Kelce previously apologized on ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown,” admitting, “I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it.”
