Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift, and Johnny Depp are among the top celebrities exploited by online scammers, according to McAfee's latest report. The actors' and singers' likenesses are being used without permission in schemes involving fake movie or song downloads, fraudulent concert tickets, and cryptocurrency scams. McAfee's head of threat research, Abhishek Karnik, warned, “With cybercriminals using advanced AI tools to create more convincing scams, the risks are growing, and celebrity names are the perfect bait.”

Scarlett Johansson's image was used for fake ads and Taylor Swift's name was used in ticket scams and fake product endorsements. Johnny Depp has also been a frequent target, with his likeness used in giveaways and crypto scams. Other celebrities used most often were Kylie Jenner, Sydney Sweeney, Tom Hanks, Blake Lively, and Addison Rae.
