A police officer in Arizona saved a man's life by simply offering him a hug.
According to the Chandler Police Department footage, the 26-year-old was preparing to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge.
Officer Aaron Little arrived on the scene and struck up a conversation. After offering the man a hug, he told him, “I just want to talk to you. I’ll hug you, man. I don’t care.”
Eventually the officer convinced the man to climb off the ledge and back to safety. During their embrace, you can hear the man crying in the video.
The Police Department later posted a Facebook message praising Little for his act. “While this incident is extraordinary, the compassion Officer Little showed is a common occurrence with the men & women of the Chandler Police department.”
