374 bagpipers gathered in Federation Square to break the world record for the largest bagpipe ensemble, surpassing the previous record of 333 pipers in Bulgaria.
Federation Square in Melbourne holds significance for AC/DC as it was the filming location for the 1976 music video of "It's a Long Way to the Top."
Les Kenfield and Kevin Conlon, original members of the Rats of Tobruk who appeared in the music video, participated in the record-breaking bagpiper crowd.
Les Kenfield expressed his excitement, stating, "Now it's one of the greatest things — probably the greatest thing I've ever done in my life."
AC/DC kicked off their Australian tour with the 1976 classic "Jailbreak," a song they hadn't performed live since 1991.
