#GoodNews: Homecoming Court Walks Barefoot In Support Of Classmate

An entire high school homecoming court in South Carolina ditched their heels in support of a fellow student with epilepsy.

Nataleigh Deal, a student at Strom Thurmond High School suffers with seizures – and in fact, had one right before their big night.

“She was well enough during half time to walk again, but couldn’t wear her heels,” sister Carleigh Dealexplains. “So instead of leaving her the oddball out, every. single. girl. on homecoming court took their shoes off, too. The inclusion and love will never be matched.”

The touching gesture of solidarity also caught the attention of assistant principal,Crystal Lotz Hadden who shared photos of the girls competing for homecoming queen. “I’m honored to know these beautiful young ladies. You are all queens” Hadden offered. “Pride. Class. Courage. Will to win.”
