Doctor Saves Driver Having Medical Emergency On Busy Road

A doctor on his way through Atlanta earlier this week noticed something was wrong when an SUV drifted off course and crashed into a building. Dr. Kehinde Idowu from Northside Hospital rushed toward the vehicle and found the driver unresponsive, likely experiencing a serious heart problem.

With support from nearby staff, Idowu pulled the man from the SUV and began CPR until first responders arrived with a defibrillator. The driver eventually started breathing again on his own before being taken to a nearby hospital.

Dr. Idowu says he just relied on his training and he hopes the experience encourages more people to learn CPR. He adds that he’s grateful the man is recovering and hopes to meet him under better circumstances.
