Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently surprised a mother and her son with a fully furnished home and car after they were given a 45-day eviction notice. The gift announcement took place during a livestream event raising money to build a school near Lagos, Nigeria. Joined by fellow content creator MDMotivator, Cenat revealed the home with a ribbon on its entrance as a choir sang, bringing the new homeowner, Karetta, to tears as she hugged her son, Reuben.

To protect their privacy, the streamers say the house they showed isn’t the actual one, but they promised it was similar. Karetta said she’s deeply grateful for the new home and for Cenat stepping up to help her in her time of need. In addition to the house, she received a van that State Farm will insure for a year, which she said would help expand her business transporting women and children to visit loved ones in prison.

The streamers also gave Reuben a new PC. Reflecting on the gesture, Cenat said, “When you give back, it keeps you grounded… it reminds you of like how grateful people are for the little things and the big things.” He added that giving back helps him stay grateful.
