Plumber Rushes To Save A Granny From Attacking Swarm Of Bees

Last Thursday morning, a 95-year-old woman in Santee, California, was attacked by a swarm of bees while napping outside her family’s home. Juana’s family had just discovered the beehive while taking out the trash and by the time they realized that she was still outside, she was already covered in bees. During the chaotic scene, plumber Diosdado San Roque and his partner from Happy Plumbing happened to drive by and noticed the emergency.

San Roque saw Juana standing near a car and heard her say that she was about to faint. As she collapsed, he rushed to catch her head before it hit the pavement and attempted to drag her to safety. Using a fire extinguisher from his truck, he sprayed to disperse the swarm and was stung 20 to 30 times himself in the process.

Emergency responders from the Santee Fire Department arrived by helicopter, using the wind from the aircraft to further drive away the bees. Juana was treated at the scene with epinephrine and Benadryl and taken to a hospital for a severe allergic reaction. The family praised San Roque’s bravery and kindness for stepping in to save a stranger.
