A doctor in Lewisville, North Carolina, was riding his bicycle to work last week when he saw smoke coming from a house.
Dr. Steve Bissette stopped to check it out, saw the back deck was on fire, and called 911.
He couldn’t get through, so he grabbed a hose and started spraying the flames while trying to wake the residents up.
Firefighters eventually arrived and took over and the homeowner came to Bisette’s office to thank him.
