Katie Hallum, a University of Oklahoma student with a rare, incurable disease called IGA nephropathy, received a life-changing kidney transplant after posting on TikTok about her condition.
A stranger named Savannah Stallbaumer from Topeka saw the video and felt compelled to offer her kidney, leading to a unique bond between the two.
Despite knowing the transplant might not provide a permanent solution, Stallbaumer went through with the surgery, and both women are now doing well, with Hallum expressing her gratitude for the miraculous turn in her life.
