Man Risks Life To Pull Injured TX Cop To Safety During Gunfight On Freeway

In Houston, Texas, a 29-year-old police officer was shot during a shootout with a carjacking suspect on Saturday.

A bystander, John Lally, risked his own safety to pull the wounded officer to safety behind his truck, staying with him until paramedics arrived.

Lally's bravery was praised by Houston Police Department Chief Troy Finner, who plans to formally acknowledge his heroism in the future.
