Abandoned Cat Left At NJ Shelter Gets Furever Home

A depressed cat from a South Jersey animal shelter has finally found a "fur-ever" family.

Fishtopher spent months at Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center in Blackwood after being abandoned at five years old.

He was so sad he'd only eat or look up when he had company.

The non-profit shelter couldn't find a home for Fishtopher until tweeting his Petfinder profile and telling the tabby's tale.

It went viral on Thanksgiving and, suddenly, hundreds of animal lovers offered to adopt Fishtopher.

Laura Folts and Tanner Callahan drove from Maryland to the shelter and brought him home.

Fishtopher now has his own Twitter account and is very happy!
