A heat advisory is in effect for much of Ohio today, and the high temperature in Cleveland is forecast to be near 90 degrees.
With that, cooling centers will be opened to provide a refuge for those who need a place to escape the heat.
Six neighborhood resource and recreation centers will serve as cooling centers today from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The Collinwood, Gunning, and Kovacic centers will be opened, as will the Zelma George Center, the Michael Zone Center, and the Frederick Douglass Center.
