Pickle juice has been a home remedy for sore throats for a while and now science is starting to back that.
The juice soothes a sore throat because of salt and vinegar ingredients, which help calm inflammation and go after bacteria.
The Cleveland Clinic now says pickle juice has several health benefits, including antioxidants to help fight infection, probiotic properties to keep your gut bacteria in balance, and electrolytes that boost athletes' recovery, and prevent blood sugar spikes.
