It's been over a year since New Politics released their fourth studio album Lost In Translation, but the wait for new music is over. On Friday (April 19), the trio released a new single, "Comeback Kid." The resilient track sees vocalist David Boyd vow to get back up every time an obstacle gets in his way, as he sings "You can knock me out You can knock me out/ You can hold me down You can hold me down/ Iām a comeback kid Iām a comeback kid," in the chorus before encouraging listeners to "Keep on keepinā on go stronger/ When you feel weak go harder and harder and harder!"
āWriting 'Comeback Kid' couldnāt have come at a more perfect time for us," Boyd reveals. "I feel the message of the song might not be anything new, it's something weāve all heard before. But itās a reminder and a truth everyone needs in their life. If youāre playing a game, if youāre in a relationship or hustling at work, life is a roller coaster of wins and losses, but you must maintain the will and the courage to bounce back.ā
