Counting Crows was formed in 1991 in California. They gained popularity following the release of the their debut album August and Everything After in 1993 which featured the hit single "Mr. Jones." In 2004, they received an Academy Award nomination for their song "Accidentally in Love," which was included in the film Shrek 2. They have released 7 albums and have sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
