Demi Moore put her past on display in her new memoir, Inside Out, where she detailed her 6-month pregnancy (and miscarriage) while into her then-two-year relationship with Ashton Kutcher.
In her new two-part interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer for Good Morning America, the Hollywood titan spoke about the unfortunate loss at 42-years-old. "You could see a combination of [the doctor’s] dread, and it shifting then immediately into matter-of-fact, practical information — because it was unquestionable, because there was no heartbeat," she recalled during the sit-down. Moore went on to share a photo of the baby bump with GMA, admitting that she "can’t even really bring fully to words how lost, empty, desperate [and] confused she felt after losing the baby." Scroll on to the 3:53 mark to see her bump.
After the couple attempted in vitro fertilization "quite a few times," the failure to have a baby triggered some negative memories for Moore. "I really lost sight of everything that was right in front of me, which is the family I had," she recalled. "And I think the weight that it put on Ashton — you know, it’s kind of a natural thing to pull back when somebody’s, you know, clinging too tight."
