While teens across the country are getting dressed up and heading to their high school proms, an animal rescue group in California held a fancy dance of their own, but this one was for the dogs.
The Helen Woodward Animal Center hosted its 7th annual Puppy Prom in San Diego, giving adopted pets a chance to reunite with their litter mates while they’re all dressed up.
More than 55 rescue pets attended the dance, which had a theme, as all good proms do. This year’s theme was fairy tales, so there were many animals wearing their take on that and posing for cheesy prom photos.
They even crowned a Prom King and Queen, with a dog named Bindi winning Prom Queen for her “Queen Bee” ensemble and her Prom King was Sir Ruffles Von Vicious in his King of Enchantment costume.
