The search for a new and improved Batman for the DC Universe may have ended.
Move over Ben Affleck…."Twilight" star Robert Pattinson is in line to play the next "Batman."
Sources tell Variety it's not set in stone, but Pattinson is the top choice and they're closing in on a deal. Warner Brothers has not commented on the report.
The new Batman movie is being directed by Matt Reeves, who made the last two “Planet of the Apes” movies.
If he inks the deal, the 32-year-old Pattinson will become the youngest actor to ever play the superhero on the big screen. The new Batman movie will hit theaters in June of 2021.
Previous actors to take on the role include: Micheal Keaton (one of our favorites!), George Clooney, Christian Bale, Val Kilmer, and just because he’s got the coolest voice for it…Will Arnett, in the Lego movies.
