#GoodNews: 101-Year Old Gal Still Works At Texas State Fair

She may be 101-years young, but Rose Landin isn't resting on her laurels. In fact, she's a State Fair of Texas favorite - Rose has worked there as a greeter for 25 years.

Think she's not a state treasure? Many visitors say they come back every year just to tell her “hello.”

If you happen to be in the area, you can catch Rose working at the fair’s hospitality center smiling and handing maps to the guests Monday through Friday. “I feel wonderful because I feel like I'm doing something. Staying at home is not fun when you retire," Landin tells CBS. "[People] always ask, 'How old are you?' I say, 'You're not supposed to ask a woman that."

Since working at the fair a quarter of century ago, Rose mentioned one major change she noticed, "This year we have a lot of young people [working], which is wonderful."

Even at her age, Rose says she's got no plans to quit anytime soon. "I get up in the morning and I'm happy," says Rose. "I live for one day, one day at a time. I've enjoyed every minute of it and I hope I enjoy it for 100 more years."
