How the IRS phone scam works. You need to watch this.

Everyone's gotten a scam call like this before. The old "you have some IRS tax trouble and could go to jail if you don't send us money."  Now we know how it works.

Jayesh, a 19 year old from Mumbai, India, explains how he worked in a fraudulent telephone boiler room pretending to be an IRS agent collecting taxes as he called people all over America. The video is followed by examples of fake IRS threats and Jayesh's explanation of how they worked.

Authorities warn anyone receiving a call from someone who claims to be from the IRS to write down their number but not to talk to them. You should immediately contact your local law enforcement office, the real IRS at 800-829-1040, or the Treasury Inspector General at 800-366-4484. You can also go to their website at www.tigta.gov.
