Hoobastank has broken an eight-year silence with "How Do You Sleep?", their first new original song since the 2018 album "Push Pull."
The single was produced by Howard Benson, who worked with the band on their early records and says he was so struck by the new material that he booked studio time on the spot.
Frontman Doug Robb said the new track felt like a creative pressure valve finally being released.
The band debuted the song live at Vans Warped Tour in Washington, D.C., last weekend and is set to appear on Staind's "Break the Cycle" 25th-anniversary tour with Seether and Hinder, beginning in September.
