Is Green Day Side Project Foxboro Hot Tubs Planning a Show Soon?

In 2007, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong (going by Reverend Strychnine Twitch), Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool started a side project called Foxboro Hot Tubs along with touring members Jason White (going by Frosco Lee) and Jason Freese, and Prima Donna's Kevin Preston. A year later, they released their debut (and only) album, Stop Drop and Roll!!!. The alias is what the band went under when they played secret shows, and in 2013 the garage rock group played Eli's Mile High Club in Oakland, California. In 2014, they played the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.

We haven't heard from Foxboro Hot Tubs since then, but it looks like they may be making their return. And soon.

Earlier this week, Armstrong posted an iTunes screenshot of Stop Drop and Roll!!!'s "She's a Saint Not a Celebrity" on the Instagram account of his other side project, The Longshot. "Next week Jumping in some rehearsal time with these big lugs .." he captioned the photo.

Does this mean we can expect a Foxboro Hot Tubs show sometime in the not-so-distant future? It sure sounds like it. But you never know with the sneaky Reverend Strychnine Twitch.
