Nesmith's "minor health issue" ends Monkees tour

A rep for The Monkees tells TMZ that guitarist Michael Nesmith was hospitalized yesterday, forcing The Monkees to cancel the last four dates of their current tour. It was initially reported that Nesmith, who is 75 years old, collapsed onstage yesterday during the band’s soundcheck, but Monkees manager Andrew Sandoval said that Nesmith never even made it to the venue and had a “minor health issue before he even made it over. We're told the issue's not serious, but he was advised to rest for the next week at his home in Carmel, CA.

Sandoval confirmed the cancelation of the remaining 4 dates on The Monkees Present: The Mike & Micky Show tour have been postponed until a later date, and Michael's in good spirits and heading back home to Carmel, CA.

Well good, it sounds like Nez will be ok and at least I got to see them last weekend at Cain Park – best Monkees show I’ve ever seen! AND I got to see it with my wife, the only other person on Earth that “gets it” like I do! We're The Monkees Power Couple, for crying out loud!
