Blood Prison at The Ohio State Reformatory

The Ohio State Reformatory

The Historic Ohio State Reformatory is excited to announce Blood Prison 2020.

The Ohio State’s Reformatory’s top priority is the safety of its visitors, volunteers, and staff. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, they have implemented new, site-specific policies to protect their guests, volunteers, staff, and the community at large.

These policies include the following:

-Strict and enhanced daily cleaning schedules

-All actors, staff, and volunteers are required to wear masks

-Hourly sanitizing of all routes throughout the haunt

-Daily temperature monitoring of all staff

-Nightly sanitizing of all haunt equipment and costumes

-Timed entry

-All guests will maintain social distancing while on the site and wear masks when visiting.

The goal this year is to deliver a low-contact, high-quality visitor experience. This will still be the event you have come to expect from the number #1 haunt in Ohio: visit Granny’s house, escape from solitary, and then dive into the depths beneath the castle. Prepare to be terrified to the limit and beware of the Warden’s Widow...she could be anywhere...

This year’s event will be scaled down from previous years because of the current situation and to assist with remaining compliant with governmental regulations. Due to this, all tickets will be general admission only and can be purchased for $25 either online or at the ticket bus on site. All entry to the event will be by order of arrival of individual vehicles. This will help remove congregating in lines and also keep family groups together as they tour the venue. Guests will be granted entry with the groups that they arrive with.
