new music on the way from Radiohead/Evanescence

Guitarist Jonny Greenwood Radiohead will begin work on their ninth album in September, has revealed. And they'll allow the follow-up to 2010's The King Of Limbs to take form organically.

The studio sessions will mark the first time they've worked together since ending a world tour three years ago. Greenwood tells the BBC: "We're going to start up in September, playing, rehearsing and recording, and see how it's sounding."

Greenwood has been writing movie scores, frontman Thom Yorke toured his Atoms For Peace side-project with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, and drummer Philip Selway has completed his second solo album, set for launch in October.

Between all the lineup changes, hiatuses, and legal drama, Evanescence is a hard band to keep up with. Unless you’re a loyal fan you might not even know if they’re still together or not. I certainly have no idea, but we should all find out soon enough when Evanescence (or maybe just Amy Lee) puts out some new music — which is apparently coming “real soon.”

Evanescence are currently independent after splitting from their record label following a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit they filed earlier this year for unpaid royalties.
