The Cavaliers started and ended strong, but what happened in between cost them the game to the Thunder on Thursday losing 102-95.
The Cavs led 25-21 after the 1st quarter led by Spencer Hawes scoring 8 of his 20 points and Dion Waiters chipped in with 6, but Kevin Durant's last second jumper gave the Thunder a 56-46 halftime lead.
The Cavs got pounded on the boards again losing the rebound battle 53-36 to the Thunder giving up 18 offensive boards.
Oklahoma City extended their lead to 85-68 in the 3rd quarter and led by as many as 24 in the 4th quarter before the Cavs made a furious comeback. Scoring the next 16 straight points they cut the lead to 95-87 with 2:17 left. After a Dion Waiters steal and lay in that cut the Thunder lead to 97-92 the Cavs forced a missed shot by Reggie Jackson, but Serge Ibakas 11 rebound ended the Cavaliers hopes as the Thunder made all their free throws down the stretch.
Kevin Durant led all scorers with 35 points and added 11 rebounds while Dion Waiters scored 30 points and Matthew Dellavedova had a double-double with 11 points and 10 assists.
The Houston Rockets will be at the Q on Saturday as the Cavs will try and snap their 3 game losing streak.
