(Cleveland)- Cuyahoga County Council will vote next week on whether to ask voters to extend the county's "sin tax."

Arguments for and against the tax on cigarettes and alcohol were heard yesterday during a pair of public hearings.

Cleveland's pro sports teams and downtown business leaders want the tax for another 20 years, saying it will maintain facilities and keep people coming downtown. Critics want team owners to foot the bill.
