Monday's storms spawn a twister

(Eaton Twsp.) - The National Weather Service confirms a tornado touched down during Monday night's storms in Eaton Township in Lorain County.  It touched down near Butternut Ridge Road and State Route 83.

The twister proceeded about a mile south after touching down in a field.  It made its' way to Cooley Road hitting some farm land causing damage to a barn roof and a house.  

The twister is categorized as an EF-0 tornado which is the weakest of the tornado classifications.  Doug Dever with the Lorain County Emergency Management Agency considers this a very small tornado.
