(Cleveland) - John Lanigan was given a proclamation from the city of Cleveland during Saturday night's Moondog Coronation Ball at Quicken Loans Arena. It was for Lanigan's efforts in boosting the city during his long radio career in Cleveland.

Lanigan is now retiring after 4 decades in broadcasting. Monday is his last morning on WMJI Majic 105.7.

Mark Nolan will join Majic's morning show after having a reoccurring role on the show over the past few years.

Nolan, who spent 18 years at NBC Affiliate WKYC TV-3, isn’t a stranger to WMJI – for the past two years he has hosted Majic's midday show and for nearly a 10 year period, he provided the weather forecasts for the morning show.

"John has had an amazing career and has been an icon in the market for 40 years. We are excited for John and are happy to say that we will continue to have a relationship with him moving forward as listeners will hear him on the show from time-to-time," Keith Abrams, Vice President of Programming for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Cleveland. "I’m also very excited for the future of the Majic morning show with Nolan, Malone and Kullik. I know Mark, Jimmy, Chip, and Tracey will continue to entertain and wake up Cleveland in the way WMJI listeners expect!"
