It's what northeast Ohio film buffs have been waiting for. The first official trailer for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was released Thursday.

Most of the exteriors for the 'Captain America' sequel were filmed in Cleveland. The trailer features a number of shots that Clevelanders will recognize.

Crews were in town between May and June to shoot scenes in a number of locations, most noticeable the West Shoreway. They were also at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Tower City, Tremont and all around downtown Cleveland.

But the movie isn't set in Cleveland, we're doubling as Washington D.C. in the movie.

Still, Ivan Schwarz of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission thinks it looks "awesome". He says Cleveland is becoming well known in the film-making community as an accessible city.

It stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce.

The movie was directed by Cleveland brothers Anthony and Joe Russo.

"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is slated for nationwide release on April 4, 2014.

The Greater Cleveland Film Commission also announced Thursday Jenny's Wedding will begin shooting in Cleveland on October 28th.

Emmy-winning and Golden Globe nominee Katherine Heigl two-time Oscar nominee Tom Wilkinson, two-time Tony Award nominee Linda Emondand Grace Gummer are set to star in the dramedy.
