(Cleveland) - The shores of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake have undergone a prehistoric transformation.

Dinosaurs!, the Zoo’s new seasonal exhibit, has come to life.

A few weeks ago, a large crane was used to move the 6,700 pound animatronic Tyrannosaurus rex into position.

It's one of 21 dinosaur displays that are lurking around the lake at the Zoo . Seven have never been displayed at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo before.

Another new feature is a giant "Base Camp". It's a large tent representing an active dig site with fossils and a giant footprint to stand in.

Dinosaurs! will be open daily through September 15.
