(Cleveland)- After asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect and suspect vehicle seen in the below photos, detectives now claim to have a man in custody in connection with the attack on an elderly couple.

Ronald Ellis was arrested in the Victory Boulevard home invasion. Investigators report Ellis turned himself in to Cleveland Police at the First District on Wednesday.

He is currently being held in the central prison unit awaiting charges.

Ellis was wanted for the Monday, June 17, 2013 attack. He is denying any involvement.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 1:48 p.m., detectives say the suspect attempted to use the victim's stolen credit card at a gas station in the area of W. 117th & Bellaire.

The male was seen getting out of the passenger side of a Nissan Versa and entering the gas station, where attempted to use the stolen credit card.

The suspect is wearing a white T-shirt, red pants and black shoes.

It was quite the scare for the elderly couple living at the Victory Blvd. address.

Cleveland Police say they were robbed and beaten at gunpoint after two bandits broke into their home near West 130 Street.

The suspects then put the woman, 80-year-old Margaret Kovachik, in the trunk of the victims' 2008 Chevy Malibu before driving to the city's eastside.

The car was found with Kovachik inside near the Wolf's Den Lounge near East 83 street and Cedar.

The woman and her husband, 82-year-old Richard Kovachik, were taken to Fairview Hospital for observation. They are in stable condition. Cleveland Police are searching for the suspects.
